The Blue Boot Rodeo
The Blue Boot Rodeo is our annual fishing tournament held in Grand Isle, Louisiana. It is a family orientated event with the goal of raising awareness to the dangers of childhood drowning. Blue Boot is currently the largest fishing rodeo in the state of Louisiana and is growing at a rapid pace. Besides the fishing, we have tons of activities for the kids and classes to teach them drowning prevention and water safety. Each child that buys a ticket to the rodeo can get a free life jacket as part of our Life Jacket For Life Program. The Blue Boot Rodeo is the driving force behind the Blue Boot Foundation and driving awareness in the community. 2024 will mark our 6th year and we look forward to another successsful event for everyone. Our goal is to be able to expand the Blue Boot Rodeo to other cities in the upcoming years as we drive our mission to save lives.

Rodeo Events and Activities
Each Year we teach a session on water safety and the dangers of childhood drowning.
We have a large fenced in area filled with large inflatables and games for kids and theif families to enjoy.
This program is in conjunction with Children's Water Safety. Every Child 12 and under that buys a fishing ticket to the Rodeo gets a free life jacket. They can trade in their life jacket as much as needed as they grow over the years.
Each year we have an amazing auction. All the proceeds from the auction are used to help us with our mission.

Bluebootrodeo.comDo I need to purchase a ticket to attend the rodeo?
No. This is a free event but purchasing a fishing ticket gets you the following:
- Free plate lunch
- Free Life Jacket for kids 12 and under
- An entry for our grand prize on Saturday July, 13th.
What kind of activities are there for the kids?
Besides the fishing, we have a number of activities for the kids. Here are just a few:
- Kids Zone - There is an entire section of the rodeo that is dedicated to the kids. This section is full of inflatables and other activities. It is open the entire time the pavilion is open.
- Drowning Prevention Session - Each year we spend a little time and do an interactive class to teach the kids about the dangers of childhood drowning and how they can take measures to ensure their safety.
- Riley's Treasure Chest - This is a cool place where kids can purchase all kinds of fund toys and gadgets.
- DJ's, Bands, and lots of dancing for everyone!
Will the event still happen if it's raining?
Absolutely! Although we always pray for great weather, sometimes mother nature has other plans. The good news is that all the fun and exciting stuff happens under the pavilion so you have nothing to worry about!
